I got a sneak preview of Normandy Le Chantier before lockdown and before travelling to France became an issue. However, REHAB an alcohol-free joint and speakeasy, is such a cool concept, I’m going to briefly chat about it anyway because it deserves to be discovered as soon as travelling to Paris is back on.
A spiral metal staircase hidden behind a mirrored door of the Le Comptoir du Chantier restaurant, will lead you directly to a mysterious room with a hip/elegant deco vibe. REHAB is a new speakeasy hidden in the basements of Normandy Le Chantier in Paris’ 1er Arrondissement.
A new concept with an evocative name as it is the first “spirit free” bar in France featuring creations based on cannabidiol or CBD. Completely integrated into the Normandy Le Chantier concept, REHAB is committed to promoting healthy alternatives to alcohol. Here, punters can taste a selection of “Hocktails” which means high-cocktails and refers to preparations producing some of the desired effects of alcohol but without the disadvantages.
The guys at REHAB say “it is both a boudoir with a Belle-Epoque style where we come to find intimacy and affinity, and also an apothecary backroom full of miraculous elixirs which promise you a pure moment of relaxation, disconnection and harmony…”
