Welcome to my blog. Often described by friends as ‘the life and soul of the party’, which I’ve always loved, until recently – now I’m starting to rethink my own tagline. I’m not sure I want to be the the party queen anymore… I have a husband, two lovely children and a dog, I own a PR and Communications Company so life is pretty nuts and it’s difficult to juggle everything, especially when you try to keep partying in the equation! So, I’ve decided to change the narrative of my life a little. I’m going to give up drinking alcohol, oh, did I mention I work in the drinks industry?
Yep, I specialise in wines and spirits so this is going to be quite a shift! I’m a foodie who loves travel and I want to begin exploring my world through a slightly different lens. What do you do if you can’t drink rosé in Provence or champagne on a special occasion or a glass of red with pizza? Right now, I have absolutely no idea because alcohol has always been part of who I am but I don’t want to be defined by it. I’m setting off on a journey to discover what life looks like when you take away a fundamental crutch, slow down a little to focus more on health and live life in the present. I’m going to present a different version of the lifestyle to which I’m used to and along the way perhaps offer support to anyone who wants to cut down or give up as well.
